Way to Celebrate the 2016 Holiday Season Near Charleston SC
Through Jan. 1, visit James Island County Park to enjoy the Holiday Festival of Lights, happening every evening with varying hours. In addition to enjoying all of the light displays, you and your family can also enjoy a sand sculpture, Santa’s Sweet Shoppe, a Victorian carousel and more. It’s a must-see event for anyone in or outside the area.
Attend the Charleston Christmas Special at the Charleston Music Hall for a good time filled with musical performances and comedy sketches that are all centered around the holiday season. Those with kids can enjoy a free kids night on Dec. 20. Be sure to purchase you tickets as soon as you can to reserve yourself a spot.
This year’s Parade of Boats will be taking place on Dec. 10. If you’re unfamiliar with it, it is essentially a parade, but instead of floats, there are boats lit up in holiday decoration and cheer. The event takes place at the Charleston Harbor and is expected to kick off at 5 p.m., though you can call to confirm the start time.
The remaining dates for the Holiday Dinner Cruise aboard the Carolina Queen are Dec. 16, 17 and 26 this year. Once aboard, you’ll be able to enjoy a gourmet holiday buffet and a 2-hour scenic cruise around the harbor, accompanied by many holiday favorites. Be sure to get your tickets as soon as you can for this unique holiday event.
