2018 Volkswagen Tiguan Seating Capacity
Volkswagen introduced the new 2018 Tiguan which features the same fun to drive character and adds a more sophisticated and spacious interior, flexible seating and high-tech infotainment and driver assistance features. When compared to the current model, the new Tiguan has far more interior space at 185.2 inches long. The 2018 Tiguan is 10.7 inches longer than the current 2017 Tiguan and has up to 57 percent more cargo capacity. The 109.9-inch wheelbase provides both a sliding second-row and an optional third row. That’s right, the new 2018 VW Tiguan will be offered as a third row SUV.
Up until the announcement of the all-new Atlas SUV, Volkswagen did not offer an SUV with a third row but now with the addition of the Atlas, Volkswagen is also offering the 2018 Tiguan as an available SUV with an optional third row. The third-row seats will come standard on all front-wheel-drive models and will be optional on all-wheel drive versions.
2018 VW Tiguan Interior Features
In addition to the new third row, the second-row bench with have a sliding feature with the ability to slide 7 inches forward and backward and can be split 40:20:40. The 2018 Tiguan is based on Volkswagen’s Modular Transverse Matric architecture and will feature a wider and lower stance with strong, sharp lines with the exterior design. The interior was refreshed to add a more sophisticated appeal. Even the cloth seats of an entry-level Tiguan will now feature a rhombus pattern that offers a premium look.
The dashboard will feature the optional Volkswagen Digital Cockpit display which features a reconfigurable display of important information and the ability to position navigation data front and center for easy and convenient viewing. Customers will also be able to choose from new exterior and interior colors.
